That means at most we'll get less than 10 number ones this year. I think thats pretty good. Why would you want a year with 25 different songs going #1 like those in the UK? Meh. This is much better.
I think the Fall will be more exciting with new releases. After CFMF hits #1 it will likely stay there until September.
Maybe not 25, but 15 or so like there used to be would be cool. 6 or so #1s a year is dull.
1. Cheerleader (=)
2. Can't Feel My Face (+1)
3. See You Again (-1)
4. Bad Blood (=)
5. Watch Me (=)
6. Fight Song (+2)
7. Trap Queen (-1)
8. The Hills (+4)
9. Shut Up and Dance (-2)
10. Lean On (+?) / Where Are Ü Now (-1) / Worth It (+4)
Cheerleader reminds me of Dynamite so I'm happy it's number one. Honestly the only number one this year I like. Well I do bop to BB too but I prefer cheerleader
These long running number ones are so ****ing boring.
Cheerleader is trash.
The viral vine hits (Watch Me, Trap Queen, Nasty Freestyle) don't deserve such high peaks.
The Hot 100 becomes more and more irrelevant with each passing week.
Well Trap Queen was more than just a "viral hit" after it went viral - it became a legitimate radio and sales hit. Watch Me may end up following its footsteps. Nasty Freestyle is the only true viral/"streaming fueled" hit of the three.
"Cheerleader" won't be a long-running #1 song. 2-3 weeks atop max.
I'm nervous about "Can't Feel My Face" tho. I see it surpassing 6 weeks at #1 cuz there's nothing really threatening it right now. Hopefully it won't go over 10 weeks. I love the song, but I hate these constant long #1s.
