It's so hard to base your song on another song without copying it yet still making it resemble that song.

It's done. I've chosen the magnum opus of lyricism for my blueprint. God be with me.

I think my song was going to be too different upon second thought (considering keeping the story pretty much the same is kind of a requirement) so I've reworked my second verse and it's already looking better.
