Changing your sound with each album, doesn't always guarantee success. (Ex. Rihanna).

She will see a decline, in a general sense, like most pop stars do. I do believe that she has reached her commercial peak, (I might be wrong). But I don't see her outdoing 1989 given the change of climate in the industry.

As far as an R&B-tinged era is concerned, I think she can pull it off. It'd be interesting to see her take that direction. I actually want Gaga to release a full fledged R&B album.

Well, the sound, of course will be a departure from what she has been putting out but it's something that can most certainly be acquired, if she works with the right producers.

Taylor seems very knowledgeable when it comes to music & seems to know what works for her. She can definitely make that transition, successfully.

I'm pretty sure before she went "all pop", people must've doubted the fact that she could forego her country roots and still be successful. But she did it.

Idk if Taylor could pull off an R&B record. She just doesn't have the voice for it. Her voice would go well with a more rock-heavy album but that probably wouldn't generate much success.

She should just stick with pop. Her albums have each become more and more pop since she debuted so she'll probably turn into Britney in 2017.

Taylor is so vanilla that anything outside the country and pop genre will just seem downright laughable. She and Katy are the most vanilla pop stars I've ever seen honestly.

People may not have thought she would have success with pop but her voice is definitely a pop voice.

If Janet, with her limited vocal abilities, can pull off the R&B sound, then so can Taylor, who is a better vocalist. In fact, you don't have to be a great vocalist to do it.

I'm not sure if she'll find success, if she transitions, but she can certainly do it. It's not hard to venture into the R&B genre, even if you have a "pop voice."
