Me with the other song I'm doing The rap actually slays a bit and came the fastest, but trying to fit it in with other lyrics is hard. I don't know if I'll get to use it

First of all, congrats to lovesong! I knew you were going to take it out. Surprised I got second, I thought I'd maybe get third. But now I have placed at each position in the Top 5, so that's a mini-goal I can check off I guess!

Really sad to see Huga and 8th go so close to the end. Both are amazing, and I'm glad that they've decided to participate in this collab round.

The challenge. I was thinking that it may be a double challenge, but I never anticipated a triple challenge. This is gonna be interesting. I think I already know what song I want to use as inspiration for part two.

And Jorge. We're gonna slay it. Crystalline is still one of my favourite songs of this season, so hopefully we can channel that in our collaboration. Looking forward to it!

I think the first challenge is going to be the hardest for me, because despite liking radio friendly "single" type songs, I'm usually dragged for them (see "Forever In A Moment") and I can't seem to get both a standard of quality and catchiness. But there's a first time for everything, I guess.

1) Murder creates a sanguine work of art because sanguine is a blood-red colour. I thought that was pretty self-explanatory.

2) The radiance of the sun penetrates the air which the speaker is breathing. Nah, you've got me on the "breathe radiance" bit. I only put it in because it sounded good and it was better than my original basic "I take a single breath" lyric.

3) The other person isn't a constant silhouette, it's just a metaphor for how he appeared to be one thing at first (nice), but turned out to be another (not nice) upon closer inspection (like how what was perceived to be a pyramid at first was actually just a mound of shattered glass, etc.) The part about the speaker's silhouette walking away is just meant to create literal imagery of someone walking away into the sunrise, it's not meant to insinuate that the speaker is anything other than the victim in the relationship.

I'm laughing because I'm reading through the Season 5 finale and when it was revealed I placed third Fefe was literally the only person to say anything, and Huga dragged me to the pits too in his comments. Lol I didn't have internet access when the finale happened so I saw the results much later and I had very mixed feelings!

Some of my comments:

Sometimes there's nothing you can do. I didn't have the talent to win. This is why I don't want to play again. How much better can I possibly do? My final comments were basically "You perfected what you do but it's not good enough". There's nothing I can do, really. And I'd especially hate to get to the finale again only to be placed last by every judge. I'd rather just be eliminated, that sucked. It's hard when there's no clear winner but it's harder for the clear loser.

Wow, that essay sort of happened! Guess the ultimate takeaway is that this is the type of emotion you're going to be feeling going into the finale. It is really hard and painful and be understanding.

People can pretend but they will never be
