They're kind of necessary for poofs tbh. People are so abusive if you don't reply or you say you're not interested though. Like if someone says I'm not their type, I don't get offended and start attacking them.
I'm gay and I use them. They're quite popular here in Brazil.
Not a big deal though, we don't live for them. But I've met a LOT of people because of them and some of the experiences were amazing, while the others were from "meh" to a disaster.
don't bother using them, I just find whoever I date through my campus and at the gym.
9/10 times my friends told me that every guy they've met from a dating app lied about either their looks, occupation, or education. I don't have time to go through the liars and honest people
I'm gay. I met my boyfriend via grindr, he took me out to a few dates last year, and we've been official since new years day. They work, so I like them. They aren't just for sex.
I've used Grindr but deactivated since most of them only wanted me for hookups and nothing more. You will find good guys though. I think gay apps especially are good, even if they can be trashy, for those that aren't out or live in a homophobic country. It is a great way to meet people that you can relate to.
