Looks like Beats 1 is available even if you don’t subscribed to Apple Music or using the free trial. I download the 12.2 (64-bit for Windows) on my laptop and I enter the Apple ID that I share with my brothers and I’m listening to Beats 1 radio. I’m loving the new music I hear from it. The only ones I was familiar with was St. Vincent, Tame Impala, the classic “You’re the Best” and Em. Speaking of Em, I was just listening to his interview with Zane Lowe! So I guess I don’t need to try the free trial for Apple Music unless I want to stream 1989. Still need to do more research on this.
For now, I’m listening to Beats 1 on my laptop. iTunes looks different with the new logo and others than the version I used to have in the still non-working desktop. My iPhone doesn’t have room right now to update to iOS 4. I vote for other as in You-Tube I guess.
I really learned to love Spotify but I won't unfortunately renew my subscription at the end of the month. Apple Music has everything I need in one single app. Besides, Spotify takes too much space.
Spotify is overrated, Tidal is lame, AM has pretty much everything you want and need from a streaming service (so far.)
Plus it's easy to get + use, has a larger library, etc. There's pretty much nothing to complain about at the moment.
