I still don't understand what's going on. You polled the two largest public schools where? Did you take into account the racial demographics of the states in which your sample schools were located?
The college I attend is 90% white. There are like 600 blacks in a school of around 14,000 students which is pretty alarming since there are a lot of blacks here in SC. But the reasons they don't attend college are related to poverty a lot of the times, unfortunately poor people do not motivate their children to keep studying a lot of times. Regardless of race I see this keeps happening, poor white people also rarely attend college.

38% of my uni's students are white. Much diversity!
