Given that I won the actual challenge of the finale, he was probably talking about someone else.

Was the finale a live leaderboard type thing?

Animals by Muse
Animal
You're an animal
Don't take anything less
Out of control
Strike those in distress
Analyze
Advertise
Expand
Bend more rules
Buy yourself an island
Animals
We're animals
Buy when blood is on the street
Out of control
We're out of control
Crush those who beg at your feet
Analyze
Franchise
Spread out
Kill the competition
And buy yourself an ocean
Analyze
Downsize
Lay off
Kill yourself
Come on and do us all a favor
This is apparently about "risk takers who are destroying the world's economy...rage at the greed of bankers and stockbrokers as well as industries desperate to kill the competition."
I never would've guessed. I am trying to find songs about greed because I do not know of one (unless all the rappers rapping about how much money they have counts)

Unfortunately, no. The games section is my favorite place on ATRL, but sadly it's never popping. I was really shocked when PH7 passed 20k comments and someone said that this is the first tournament ever to do it

The situation as it currently stands, if anyone is interested.

Basically, only people who are really close to me tend to know this, but my mum has had cancer since 2009, she's been in remission twice, and the third time she was told there was nothing they could do except control it and try and prolong her life for as long as possible. She was pretty fine given the circumstances, until a couple of months ago, when she started to get a bit sicker, and then it got really bad 2-3 weeks ago, so she checked into a hospice, expecting to have a little rest and be up and out again within a week or two. However, they told her last Tuesday that she has <4 weeks to live. So... Things are a little rough for us all at the moment. Her health is deteriorating pretty rapidly, and I'm spending as much time as possible with her while she's still conscious/reasonably coherent.

I saw your tweet about this.
Hope everything works out, I'll definitely keep both of you in my thoughts, and if you ever need to talk it out or even just need someone to listen or anything like that feel free to message me.

Omg conatus My mom has had some health scares recently, but it's nowhere near that stage. I can definitely understand that some online forum game is the furthest from your mind right now.
I'm not really sure what to say, except I know what it's like to lose a parent, and that's extremely rough. I wish you all the best, even if you think I hate you or something.
(Completely unrelated, but I wasn't the one who reported your post way back when. I didn't say anything about it since I didn't know if you'd even believe me. I thought you suspected me, though, and I didn't want to instigate things. That's a literal non-factor in your current place, though, so I figured I'd just say that now.)

My mother had a health scare a few years ago and that was weird enough so I can't imagine how you feel. But my heart goes out

This chorus I managed to write out of nowhere...I personally really like it, but my only problem with it is that it's serving rap/sung collaboration, and I am not ready to get eliminated bc I decided to do a rap.

Following your gut seems to be the key to your success so far, so maybe go for it

This is by far the most pop route I've taken and it probably will fall flat, but it is what it is I guess

I might try a Mariah Carey tea with this one. Like an R&B/Pop vibe.
I've low-key been loving Rainbow lately.

Rainbow has some amazing songs. It's probably her most fun album. It's been growing on me recently.
