Late Phases was excellent.
We Are Still Here was a waste of my time and money. The acting was horrendous.
Insidious 3 was surprisingly good. Much better than the second.
Watched Stranger by the Lake again. Flawless.

Idk if y'all are into horror apparel or not, but Fright Rags has some amazing + funny stuff. I live for the GI Jason and Freddy Krueger "Sweet dreams are made of these" shirts.

Also, I've been out of town for about a week and my bf got me a Texas Chainsaw Massacre shirt as a welcome home present. Step your standards UP girls!

I finished watching As Above, So Below and ngl it was actually pretty good. The claustrophobia of the movie benefited it, also the fact that it was puzzling. I would recommend it

I also watched Coherence. I love the mind puzzling and mind **** it has once you finish watching the movie.

There should be a Mind **** movie thread, i want to watch some more movies like Coherence. I did watch Sucker Punch and it's such a masterpiece and psychologically executed if you studied Psychology. Any recommendations?

I've been meaning to watch Coherence. I was going to give it a go when it was first released, but the trailer looked really silly. I've seen some great reviews for it since then, though. Going to watch it right now!

Update: Terrible movie, even worse than I expected. I got everything that was suppose to happen, the inconsistencies as part of the house/characters "alternate realities" and the cat theory, but it just didn't make a good movie, as least not in this particular instance. I was kind of over it an hour or so in, and just wanted the whole thing to collapse and be done with.

Sorry, but I'm not a fan.

Coherence seems to be the current go-to psychological horror right now. I may watch that tonight or tomorrow although it's been on my list for a while. Triangle is also crazy. I've heard good things about Lake Mungo but haven't seen that yet. If you haven't seen Donnie Darko... that's a must, but more psychological and less horror. For future reference, Martha Marcy May Marlene is an incredible psychological drama. Not a mind **** but still amazing for what it is.

I just watched Coherence and it's not a mind **** by any means, and the ending is terribly predictable.

I finally watched the Lazarus Effect last night. It was good, enjoyable but predictable, could've had a better ending but it's little entertaining movie.

OMG Poltergeist was bad

the first half was good, amazing atmosphere and great sound mix, but the second half with all the CGI, stupid husband, ridiculously cheesy scenes crossing multiple genres, and then the stupid ending? What was the point of that? Why would the family be laughing driving away from a house that reminded them of the poltergeist? And that weird upbeat music?

God damn horror is a mess these days.
