ellaria was ****ing annoying and her acting was wooden, as was with the sand snakes. i'm not sure whether that's a fault of the actresses or a fault of their terrible dialogue.

Indira Varma is a great actress though. I loved Ellaria last season, it's not her failt D&D have changed her personality on a dime and for the worse.

Re: Sansa's rape scene. The scenery outside was gorgeous and her dress was the best piece of clothing the show has created, definitely.

No I think it was Sansa being wedding raped that was why they were mad, not because D&D are perfect.

mm she was good there i guess, since it was the one scene where d&d didn't write her as some mad, hell-bent latino soap opera revenge killer.

where were these people when jaime raped cersei? if we hadn't been taught to empathise for sansa and hate ramsay this wouldn't be a thing.

okay I'm halfway episode 10 and I cannot belive what my eyes are seeing. These last 3 episodes have been the best of all the seasons ever. :wosrhip2:

Plus, even if, say, it was the first episode and someone was forced into marriage and raped and beaten as a result, you think people would be like "ho hum"?

there was a huge level of disgust in response to ramsay/sansa's wedding night. it's not even comparable in the SLIGHTEST to the response to cersei/jaime, even if people were 'pissy' about it.

i'm not saying people shouldn't be disgusted by rape, but in terms of this being a medium of entertainment i don't think it's fair to criticise that episode purely on the grounds that it was repulsive, because that's not a fair assessment of the show. jumping to 'ew ew embarrassing!!' is just a sheer denial of everything the artist works to create.

I have always and will always love Sansa, even if D&D try to destroy her.
I usually like Arya.
I usually find Cersei entertaining.

Others are sporadically not useless.

The World of Ice and Fire Book gives a lot of clues that Tyrion is the bastard son of King Aerys. Aerys clearly has designs on Tywin's wife, Joanna, who was rumoured to be Aerys' mistress before he was King. Aerys behaved inappropriately during Tywin's wedding with Joanna, during the bedding ceremony! Tywin, who was Hand of the King, sends Joanna back to Casterly Rock. Aerys then visits and stays at Casterly Rock for a year! Tywin has a falling out with Aerys. A few years later, Joanna returns to KL where Aerys is. She is in KL the year before Tyrion is born. Aery is at odds with Tywin at this point, despite Tywin still being his Hand. Like many Targs, Aerys has a history of having deformed or stillborn children. The Lannisters do not. Tyrion is born and is described as a monster.

In the main books Tyrion complains his Father has never really accepted him as a Lannister, never shows him warmth and assumes this is because he is a dwarf. Maybe the reason is because Tywin suspects that the child is Aerys' but cannot prove it without accusing his king and besmirching the honour of his dead wife.

I reckon The Dragon has 3 Heads, but Tyrion is one of them. Aegon is a fake Targ, conjured up by Varys to have a figurehead leader.
