I've definitely gotten better. I mean, my round 2 song was #22
Even the earlier ones I had that did well, like lower regions of the top ten, just feel bland to me. I learned a lot about putting myself into my writing as time went on whereas before I was just writing for nothing and it shows.
Of course, even if it flopped, I still loved Regret
Everyone's really stepping it up now and I feel like this could genuinely be a big enough misfire to put my place in the competition in jeopardy. 
There's no room for weak lines or weak verses and I've been told that I have a weak verse and chorus already so I'm shaking.
