I honestly think she could exceed 2 million with a huge first single and good promo. 1.5 million is my absolute lowest guess, but I have faith that Adele can top 2 milli and threaten NSYNC's record. There will be some very angry Army members, though, that much is certain.

She won 8 Grammys with this album, an Oscar shortly thereafter, and sold 11 million copies. It pushed her debut album to 2 million+ sold in the US (it wasn't even Platinum when 21 first came out) and the concert DVD sold over a million copies. The hype for her next album is going to be insane, like larger than Born This Way.

Hmmm... It's hard to judge because you can't really base it off the first week sales of her first two albums because she has had so much exposure and gained more prominence since the release of 21. I think that she could open with impressive numbers, but I see Adele as more of a longevity artist that won't be front loaded in the beginning but will instead sell large quantities overtime. I'd think that Taylor Swift has a larger fanbase than Adele, so I don't see Adele opening with a larger number than her. Also, Adele has an older audience that isn't going to be as likely to run and buy the album first week. I'd tentatively guess 750,000-800,000, but that could change once I see how the era starts...

Well this time is kind of different, I mean 21 was one of the best selling albums of 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011 not mention its still selling decently this year despite she not being active at all People are definitely here for her next album

I don't think it'll have a large amount of first week sales, but it will have great longevity

I'll stick with +800k in the US now, I mean not even the follow up of the best selling female album of all time there opened with one million, consider that Adele is more of longevity, she will be fine anyway.

This album isn't going to go like 21. It's going to be front-loaded.

21 had such amazing longevity because people were slowly discovering her during that time.

That's not to say it won't have longevity but it's not going to be a case of it getting bigger and bigger each month like 21 did.

As for her first week sales, as I've always said, it depends on how she launches it. If she performs at the VMAs and has a big launch/campaign for the album (and while she doesn't do much promo her team is fantastic at getting the word out) she should do massive first week sales, but it she casually releases it, it'll have big sales but not as big as they could be.
