So its the year 2015 and with so much technology out there nowadays it may seem like human interaction is diminishing. Plus its not just teenagers/young people texting I see middle age 40's walking and texting and always on their phone. So this got me thinking do you ATRL'ers prefer to text or call people?
Depends on the situation, if it's a more casual chat then text (although IM>>>) if I need to ask for or give information quickly (eg. can you bring xy, can we meet here instead) then calling is more efficient.
Texting is annoying and drawn out, unless it's a group chat.
I hate taking time to do things & I hate waiting for people to respond. I speak faster than I type, so... I'd rather get to the point and just call someone.
I prefer calling if it's going to turn into a conversation. I don't trust people who can't talk on the phone. It's basic social skills and if you don't have those, I'm afraid I think you're better off in a cave.
There is nothing worse than trying to schedule/plan a meet up or whatever over text. It's nowhere near as quick, even with iMessage there's a delay, which can turn a simple 2 minute phone call into a drawn out 10 minute text exchange. You can seriously put so much more detail into a phone call and do it much quicker.
