Both movies are really good actually, but I'd day The Canal is a bit scarier.

Just watched "Demonic" and good god it was ****ing horrendous. Don't waste your time.

Finally saw It Follows. I don't know if I would call it scary, but it was definitely tense and really got under my skin afterward. Maika Monroe was fantastic

The only "cheesy" part for me was the beach attack scene. The effects were pretty bad

So... I finally watched "It Follows" and I was not impressed at all – what a waste of my time! It wasn't scary and the ending made it even worse.

Both are amazing

I watched The Canal again and loved it even more than the first time.

I watched House Of The Devil last night and was terrified. The first 50 minutes dragged but it was a great horror flick. Loved the 80s horror suspense to it, it's not like It Follows at all but it did have that feel to it and imo it was better than IF.

Not really tho. I did a lot of research on this movie and watched it like 7 times already Based on the book that Yara is reading on her clamshell e-reader and the poem the teacher is reading during the Old Maid scene it's pretty obvious it's about death and how close we always are to it and how much of a big part of life it is for us, yet we never really aknowledge it, since it's a horrifying topic.

I completely agree. These visual metaphors make it an even more amazing movie that is worth rewatching. I keep discovering new things. I don't know if this was obvious and I was just too dumb but I just noticed that the first IT she sees after she gets it is actually in the shape of Hugh/Jeff's mother.

And yes, the soundtrack is already iconic and flawless.
