This is round 1, so you're all getting started. Of course we're not gonna start you off with a 9.8 average, not even finale contestants get that much. In season 6, we barely ever had scores over 8 throughout the competition.
Fefe is 1/5 of the judges and the other 4 haven't given you averages or hints or any type of info, so you'll be fine

My point is if the judges are critiquing just a verse/chorus, you'd think we'd score higher vs. a full song where there's more chances to mess up/have a weaker entry. There's not much to judge with our previous submissions in comparison to full length songs, but if most people (from Fefe) scored at best a 7, it's concerning.
I mean it's ok 'cause it's 20% of the score but I wasn't expecting those numbers. But then again I never joined PH so I don't know how people usually score. I didn't read the old threads either

so I guess this is as per usual

That's a good point, but you could also look at it as having a second verse/bridge could really help tie everything together, tell a complete story, have stronger lyrics that could bump up a score. Overall I don't think the length would have a major impact on the scores though. Fefe was always the judge giving the harshest scores last season.

Very true. I mean I know my lyrics are basic but I hoped they were catchy enough and well written (ala actual billboard hits which are normally simple yet accessible) to score high enough. Again this is just my premature thoughts so I'll wait til the scores are revealed. Seems interesting so far I guess! I'mma try to hold it together if I see my name eliminated
