Whenever I try to write more upbeat songs, I always find a way to make them sound so melancholic Maybe I need to start delving into torch songs! I feel like I could at slay them
Yeah I'm kind of curious to see how the later rounds are gonna play out. Like I could *try* to write deep songs like you guys but it's not my forte. Everyone has a different style but eh. I always end up using words like 'soul/ moon / sky / universe / angels' etc so I hate 'em.
But I guess it's my fault for lack of vocabulary lmao

'soul/ moon / sky / universe / angels' sounds HEAVENLY and yeah, we all have different styles but I think part of that is to allow ourselves to branch out and try new things.

Wait this actually slays! I thought I'd hate the "stairs" line but it actually works so well in how it portrays the fractured relationship, signifying the uphill climb or downward spiral of said relationship. AMAZING

nn actually I do like them on second thought lemme save them for my next ballad.
