+1. Personally I view the LGBT(QA) community as something for anyone that's not straight and/or cisgendered, so someone that faces discrimination for properly expressing who they were born as. As a bisexual I don't mind being in the same community with trans people. And yeah, I hate when people ignore all the work trans women have done for the LGBT community, it's ignorant.

Absolutely. They need to be recognised for exactly what they are. Trans* people are not like gay, lesbian or bisexual people at all because you can have trans* people who are straight.

I view the LGBT*(QQIP2SAA) community (really, just "queer community" would cover all that, but I digress) as a community for all sexual and gender minorities. We're going to advocate for each other, or at least more than any other group will. If trans* people and other gender minorities were separated from the sexual minorities, the gender minoritieswouldn't currently have much of a voice or platform, unfortunately.
