I agree to this. There's no such thing called "temporary insanity".
Either you're mentally unstable or you're not.
Genuine insane/ crazy people go out walking on the street, naked, and eating stuffs from garbage bins and randomly yelling at trees.
If one can actually process a thinking phase to remove a child's eyeballs and then went on to devour it, means that one is sane enough to make the plan in the beginning. Even the mere thought of "Oh, I think I'm gonna eat my son's eye today." constitute as a sane thinking. Demented and sick, yes, but still sane.
