Godty has a lot more creative control over her career than the g0rls on ATRL think. She's said before she's doing pop now because she's stilll young and can be successful with the pop music, which may not be the case in the future. What kind of intelligent Queen?
I understand people change and they can get sick of performing the same songs everywhere but it's just so weird how practically every popstar has made the same remarks. And it's usually when the hits are starting to fade too which makes it even more suspicious.
Rihanna out of all people having the nerve to diss her songs? Songs she didn't create and would be nothing without?I wonder how the producers and writers feel. It's like people who constantly diss their ex's.
You're right, though. That's disrespectful.
She won't get backlash because she didn't specify any individual songs or albums - but my personal guess is that she doesn't like most of her dancepop songs, or much of Loud/GGGB.

Was treated to a screening of Guillermo del Toro's new movie, CRIMSON PEAK, this weekend. Gorgeous and just ****ing terrifying.

CRIMSON PEAK electrified me in the same way Sam Rami's EVIL DEAD electrified me when I saw it for the first time way back in the day.
I don't think so since she's been pop since OOTB really. It's not like she made a big deal out of going pop like Loose to try and attract a bigger WW audience
Why are you trying to insinuate Rihanna and Beyoncé are in any way the same? Unlike Beyst, Rih won't have to discount her WW hits when she tries to get 'artistic'. I mean the flop for Rihanna standards FFS being a bigger hit WW than any Beyoncé single in 6 years is the biggest proof of this.
More talk of hits... I mean do.
I don't want to get into a circular debate. 4 and BEYONCE solidified her musical legacy.
7 albums in and Rihanna is now realizing it's all been hit factor and wow without the meat.
Rih is obviously just being self aware. Releasing an album every year isn't necessarily the most forward thinking or artistic thing to do. She's just moving ahead now.
One of the Navies I follow on Twitter mentioned how they'd be here for Rhenna's new direction if it was R&B based and got dragged by other Navy
Like, why do some of them think R&B is some limited, stuck-in-Motown ass genre? There is no doubt in my mind Rihanna could score #1 hits, acclaim, sales, and awards if she were to release the type of music Tinashe makes and that's "alt" R&B.
