and your ignorance of Mariah is so embarrassing, so u keep laughing about MEIMTEC sale numbers where it was her 14th album and 25 year into her career , and her lead single" beautiful" sold 1 million and 200k but she literally killed the hype of her album when she decided to release her R&B album after a whole year!! the time when she released the album, she vanished and just sat at home doing nothing, later on in 5 months , she did her 13 eastern Asian shows where she manged to sell 130k tickets alone in Mainland China .
Mariah broke her arm that is why she didn't release the album after "#B". MIMTEC would have done better had it been released right after Beautiful.

His previous album debuted with over 528,000 copies and is at 2.3 million albums sold to date (CMP)
Also what is more accurate to compare is this album with Luke's last compilation spring break album back in 2013. That debuted with over 150,000 copies
Then again, over 500,000 copies were sold of the 6th Spring Break EP, which is merged into this new compilation album...thing
Let's leave Cher out of this. She's been in the business for at least twice as long as Madonna, Celine, Mariah, etc. and debuted with 63,000 in pure sales with her 26th studio album and minimal promotion. It was insanely successful for the circumstances, and I doubt if even Madonna will be able to replicate that when she reaches the same point.
In any case, I think these are good numbers. In my opinion, Rebel Heart has better debut sales than MDNA when you factor in the market decline, Super Bowl and leak.
Not really, the one that is sold in stores for $9.99 has 11 tracks. Consider this to be a "re-release" of last years EP (which sold over 124,000 copies but those #'s were from late may 2014) with 5 new tracks
You can literally feel the disappointment in each of their posts.
