"Your Girl" was released on the album "The Emancipation of Mimi", with no featured artists. However, the song was originally supposed to include a rap from N.O.R.E. L.A. Reid, Carey's manager at the time, believed the album had enough guest appearances; as a result NORE's raps were removed. A very brief and rough cell phone recording of a snippet of "Your Girl (With Nore)" was leaked to the internet by Carey fans in early 2005.
Here she talks about how she and Kanye knew they lost the big awards due to the Urban votes being split. So I wonder if she agrees with Kanye current stance as well. She also talks about the snub of 1996.
Looking back , the TEOM era was probably the greatest delivered era by any pop artist.
As someone who witnessed the majority of 90s eras and 00 eras as well as today's eras...I can say that it really was. No one made a comeback like Mariah did. People may bring up Cher and Madonna but no one turned the public's opinion on them a complete 180 in the way Mariah did whilst also having the success. I wish Janet has a TEOM moment. I wish Michael had one post Invincible...preferably one where he was alive to see it.

Off course I wasn't around to see the slayage of Janet/s Control/Rhythm Nation or MJ's Thriller...but aah well lol. An Daydream is probably side by side with TEOM if not above or below it.
YES. One of my fave albums. I definitely prefer this over TEOM and it's my fave Mariah album from the 2000s. The gorgeous Touch My Body. And other highlights like Thanx 4 Nothin', Cruise Control, Love Story etc.
I love the side of Mariah's playful personality this album shows.
And lord, Side Effects is one of the most deepest and confessional songs she's ever written.
