Girl, you been around? Aaliyah's bum ass family denies EVERYTHING. Movies, releasing unreleased, any specials, etc. It's been 15 years and their bitchasses still sit here denying and grieving saying it's all too soon as if she died 3 months ago.
The only way any Aaliyah projects will go forward is without the family's permission as the Lifetime movie did, though they kept trying to get it shut down.
You can't deny EVERYTHING anyone wants to do to tribute Aaliyah for 15 years, then get mad when people finally get tired. & let's be real -- Aaliyah is not that relevant or legendary for them to be sitting here denying all this like she's Michael Jackson or something.
Missy's butch ass, and Timb's fat homophobic ass can stay HUSH too because Aaliyah wasn't even using them on the last album and was moving away from them anyways.

I'm well aware of the fact that The Haughtons shut everything down. Which is why i typed this:

.They were WAYS that the **** could've been done that would've been just fine with everyone (whose last name isn't Haughton).

I personally feel as though they have the right to grieve. They were Aaliyah's everything and vice versa. But other than that, I agree. They just seem selfish. They seem to forget that Aaliyah mattered to millions of people around the world who also felt a loss when she passed. We want her legacy to live on just like they would. Like, at least allow her music to be purchased and streamed in order for it to live on.
But her label aint ****, as evidenced by what they're doing to JoJo. They're money hungry, which is the only reason why they were pushing for a movie to be released in theaters. So I guess that's why the family is holding onto everything they can.
