And I'm sorry, but even the KKK wouldn't have the nerve to toss bananas at Black people like they're monkeys. And not even directly following 9/11 could you find people making headlines protesting to have Muslims deported from the country. There are some major problems here, but again, they at least get acknowledged and there are people who are trying to do something about it, whereas you'll have a lot less luck finding people trying to make change in Europe.
I also find it a bit evident on ATRL. Notice how literally anything that has a Black person or has Black culture associated with it is always relegated to being "local."
