I listened to Heartbeat Song, Invincible, Run Run Run, Piece By Piece and I felt so disappointed in everything, from the sound to the album cover, from the music video to the effort put into everything. My hype for the album was gone and I didn't care. But now I had some spare time, I put the album on without those 4 songs and it turned out pretty crazy. The album is so anthemic and energetic, besides the usual Greg sound it also feels quite fresh. I only wish the label would have let her go little bit out of field with the production because when Bad Reputation came on I was slayed and pissed off at the same time. Some songs just can't do her justice and it's so annoying because she's capable of so much more. I'll still bop to some songs, especially the future smash Dance With Me.
My instant favorites are: Dance With Me, Let Your Tears Fall, Someone, Bad Reputation and Take You High. In The Blue is pretty good as well.
I like a lot of the album. PBP a is still the best lyric, and RRR is an excellent song. Se sounds soon of on the album, crystal clear vocals (except for the couple songs that overly process her vocals).
GGTB is a terrible, terrible track. I'm gonna ignore it exists haha

After listening to the album for the first time, I'm kind of "meh" about it. My favourites would be Runx3 (whether it's a cover or not ), Bad Reputation and Invincible. I'll give a few more listenings to see if it's a grower, though
the second half is much better than the first imo, the poppy songs are the highlights - LYTF, Warpaint, Dance with Me, Nostalgic, Take You High, GGTB, & In the Blue Bad Reputation is a BOP too, its melody reminds me of Miss Independent for some reason. oh and Someone
i dont get the hype for Invincible or PBP at all, they're pretty average
Does anyone notice that the version of Piece by Piece on the album is slower than on youtube? I listened to the version on youtube when it came out, is it speeded up?
