Her singles ars already in order from 1-5

Muumuse was right. There are no worthy radio singles in this album. Even the 2nd single Invincible is a bit risky for radio.

Only two songs can be catered to radio in this album, Invincible and Take You High.

I'm just starting to listen, what do you guys think so far?

Discussing waste/excrement to promo PBP, only the queen

There's no pop rock/anthems or country influence which is Kelly's niche so I can see why some people will struggle to hear the single potential. I wouldn't say 80%, maybe 45% ?

I HAD A DREAM I LOVE it. So soulful.

I think the fact that there's no instant obvious radio track makes this more interesting.

No obvious "WDKY" type of song. It's more refreshing that we have no clue beyond Invincible.

I just don't think KC can smash anymore without some kind of Stronger/MLWSWY current, relevant sounding bop. Maybe RRR can carry the Say Something mantle and the resurgent success of John Legend. I'm just excited that the music is quality and she seems happy. This will sounds great on tour

I don't know, she tried it with PLU and it failed. I think her best bet now is to appeal more to her AC demographic and hope it crosses over to pop.

agree w/ this ^ ... it would just be nice to see her smash again and have WW visibility w/ the GP

Even Heartbeat Song which is in the veins of MLWSWY even flopped hard in radio.

I don't know what to expect in her upcoming singles tbh.

But, the single choices can be worrisome for the fate of the whole album's sales in general though.

Dance With Me is so Bowie, I LOVE it

Would you be really surprised if they do? The mentality of ATRL is like "If it isn't smashing, then it's not a good album".

I wasn't so sure but after seeing just a fraction of the album; I'm glad there isn't a certainty that she'll smash. Yeah, there's the usual empowerment anthems here but the genres she's mixing in is more fun than just getting some songs completely catered to be the obvious singles.

HOLY **** me. So many standouts from this album, yet none of them are the so called conventional "radio smashes".

Invincible - I don't have to say anything more about this one. Huge, hard-hitting and gets better with every listen.

Run Run Run - I have to admit this one is a bit boring before the second chorus. After that it just gets massive and dramatic and ****. I hope John's name can help this become the smash we hoped for. The "different" factor has huge smash potential but if it doesn't click it could flop harder than a rotten lotus

Take You High - I ****ing KNEW IT I knew this would be my absolute favorite off the album even before I heard it. Those angelic vocals, that euphoric buildup leading to that AS#%H64FW7=t52&^%@%@gsSY&@ chorus Jesus my soul literally left my body when I heard that. Agree 100% with the person who said it has some Tove Lo influence in it - it's somehow similar to Habits (Hippie Sabotage Remix), only that Take You High is way more unconventional and innovative. I REALLY want this to be the third single in summer, it could be a career defining song

Haven't listened to the other songs enough to say anything but I LOVE Someone (surprisingly, since I thought it was gonna be a boring filler by judging its name!), Dance With Me (Yasss that 80s influence is GENIUS!), Nostalgic (that intro alone >>>>>. It's so much fun) and Let Your Tears Fall (although I can barely understand what she's singing. She totally Ariana Grande-d us with this one ). I also enjoyed all 3 of the bonus tracks! They all represent a different style while being catchy and fun.

Overall I think I'm gonna rate this album her second best, only behind the immaculate Breakaway. I'm so proud she finally moved forward with her sound and I hope the GP will give her a chance and appreciate PxP the way we do.

Yeah, the rest of the album didn't do much for me. They front loaded the best as promo.

I feel like we shouldn't measure anything based on success. I don't even think we should be worried about that sort of thing. It's just not important anymore at this point in Kelly's career.
