You say it as if her being white is the only reason, though. Eminem is white. Beastie Boys are white. Still celebrated and respected. If Iggy was legitimately good, no one would care about her being white and rewarded at the same time.

So, it's a mixture of her being white + mediocre, while being given accolades that upset people. Not JUST because she's white.

All I'm saying is that the reason for peoples' hatred of Iggy is mainly reasons having to do with race, where with Nickelback that is not the case.

A Grammy won't save her mainstream career. Neither will that Traditional Pop Grammy save Gaga's.

The issue with MMLP2 are its low: Asshole, Stronger than I was , So Far and Survival which can be easily replaced by the bonus tracks, even Don't Front.

Headlights too, it sounds so forced bc he tries to put his life out as much as possible, see the Zane Lowe interview, the Headlights video or the remix of Daughters with Nas

But that comparison isn't far fetched, though. Like BlueTimberwolf said, a lot of Nickelback's hate comes from the watering down of '90s rock/grunge, just like Iggy's hate comes from her watering down of Hip Hop. Of course, there is more of a social issue with the Iggy thing, but both represent acts who water down genres and receive commercial success for it.

In conclusion, both are looked at as big dents in their respective genres.
