So true. I think Lana herself is definitely a carefully crafted persona, but ironically she seems very anti-label.
Just look at the pictures in IMDB, when she crafted the name Lana then it wasn't for Lana Turner, no, it was for the little sister of Natalie Wood, Lana Wood (sounds like a p o rn name).
Gag is back with RedOne again? YES you one trick pony *****
Still can't believe it

Hopefully the crappy music will stop now! Finally someone who will tell her when her lyrics are super lame! RedOne, please save her career! It's kinda too late but hopefully his globally appealing sounds will revive her status again. OMG KING YASSSS

I remember seeing a picture of Lorde celebrating drinking champagne (hers was water) at Universal Music Group headquarter with a bunch of men in suit after Royals did well or Grammy noms i forgot.
If that's not manufactured i don't know what is.
You will never find a pic of Lana with the Labels people. It baffles me when Lorde is the more "authentic" one. It's funny how the media can make u perceive certain things. A lot of people fell for it.
Are you ****ing kidding me?

P.S. the picture of Lorde you're referring to (with the champagne) was when she signed her multimillion dollar deal with Songs Publishing, a music publishing company completely independent of any of her record labels, in November of 2013.
