I don't know honestly. It could be the lack of gay role models, lack of gay figures in my life. I just don't care about being gay. It's just another obstacle for me. At first I thought it was self-hate, but then I realized it's not like I hate being gay, it just not an aspect of my being that I feel strongly about. Kind of like being a man. I don't really give a **** about being a guy, it's just another part of me.

I want to care, seriously I do so I could be more of an advocate like I am about race and feminist issues (even though there is intersectionality, but that's another topic), but I just don't. Like in class we watched the Normal Heart and gays were dying left and right from AIDs and some people in the class broke down in tears and I was over here like...
