I love how people love to look down on charts but those exact same charts dictate the sounds of your faves next comeback etc. Certain songs doing well means people are going to emulate and imitate them hints the Alone rehashes and repeats from Brave Bros or imitate a debut/comeback to make it just like another groups.

A song can be sonically good but if it has no impact, whats its worth...its just a song you are going to have on your playlist and perhaps 2 weeks later forget of delete for a new one. That isn't quality to me. I like songs that I can hear 10 years from now and sing and bop as everyone knows it aka Fantastic Baby. Its easy to argue but to be honest, how many of you have still bopped to a song that flopped on a regular? Most of you probably have forgetten them because they rarely get promoted or for songs that did well even if they weren't your number one faves like Catellena or Red Light.

How many of you were paying attention to EXID when they were flopping but now they are charting I know and seen some of you start bopping.

Callum sis, tell them. THOT7 really grew on me with A!/Stop Stop It. Probably my 2nd favorite boy group after SHINgods right now. They're always serving high vocals/energy, really into their performances, not really a USELESS member either, etc.

Then again didn't after the floppage of Dress to Kill bring the even larger push to promote the members of just OC? Wasn't it the push for AOA to push back the band subunit because their dance bops had more attention.

Sales are objective. Its the one quantitive measure to assess how people feel about a song, an album, or an artist/group/band. If one person is bopping to a song or enjoying a song, thats great but in the end if the rest of the masses aren't vibing that group you put your hope and faith in is going to disband and be broken apart or members are going to leave to find success elsewhere even more so in KPOP.

Those artists who chart high are relatively safe. They aren't going to disband due to lack of sales (kiss and cry who slayed) but personal issues. You know you are going to get see them promote, see them on tour, and they will be around.

Lastly do you really think GOT7 is even giving their all? Did you not watch the YG vs JYP episode where they kicked YG's ass in everything but rapping....then tell me why they are doing outdated sounds and way less intense choreo than they are capable of doing. Thats my problem. I like people to give their all not pull a Masta Wu on stage.
