Guys, its basically confirmed that this one crashed due to weather issues so stop with the conspiracy theories. Although Flight 370's crash was definitely suspicious, I doubt any of the crashes this year were connected.

Malaysian airlines lost, the other one shot down for reasons unknown, and now this one not far from Malaysia. I'm sorry this doesn't just happen 3 damn times in one year. Lightning rarely strikes in the same place, let alone three times in the same year! These arent small private planes but Jumbo jets!. Smoke is rising and we will find the one responsible for the fire. This is too fishy now.

The second Malaysian Airlines one (Flight 17, the one that crashed in July) was shot down in Ukraine, not in the Indian Ocean like the first Malysian Airlines one (Flight 370) and this one (Air Asia Flight 8501). Its believed that Flight 17 was shot down by pro-Russian separatists.

My mom told me that CNN has been pre-empted for the last few days because the anchors are on holiday which is why its not being reported that much. In general though, lots of aviation accidents attract disproportionate media attention. The two Malaysian Airlines crashes this year were widely reported but I literally just found out about Air Algérie Flight 5017, which crashed in the Mali desert about a week after the Malaysian one in Ukraine and killed 118 people. Although that one was found pretty quickly and wasn't considered "missing"/"disappeared" which is probably why not as many people cared.
