Hey there!
So I want to move to another city sooner or later in my life-F-time...
New York City is my dream..but being an effin' European..it's not that easy to STAY there.
I was looking for the world's most liveable cities and here's what I've found from various surveys from 2012 to 2014. Criteria for the survey are crime/safety, climate, infrastructure, public transportation, medical care, business conditions, culture, recreation and so on...
The limit for the poll is 50 choices..so these are the highest 49 cities from the surveys (OECD, Mercer, EIU, Monocle).
What city do you think is the best to live in?
Most cities by country:
Germany (7)
Japan (5)
Australia (5)
Canada (5)
USA (4)
Switzerland (3)
Spain (2)
France (2)
Denmark
Sweden
Finland
Austria
Hong Kong
Singapore
Netherlands
Portugal
Norway
Belgium
Luxembourg
Ireland
UK
Italy
lol

I'd like to live in a big city in the US, but not NYC just because it's way too expensive from what I've heard and any dream life you may have had about living their will not live up to reality unless you have a lot of money
Barcelona is amazing too and much more achievable for you since you are European

There are way more expensive European cities tho. Switzerland alone puts U.S to shame with its cost of living.

Amsterdam obviously. Everybody can speak English, most people also speak German and France. Everything you need is nearby, you don't even need a car. You can cycle, there are bike lanes everywhere.
The city center is beautiful. A lot of historical buildings.
There are many trees in the city, and many parks.
Also very close to the sea.
And The Netherlands in general is one of the best countries to live in.

New York is pretty much everyone's dream, both domestically in the US and internationally, consequently making it near impossible to happen for anyone.

Queen LA or King NY for the U.S.
