I think my imagery is on point this round, actually. I can easily envision my song and even see it being on a The Hobbit or How To Train Your Dragon movie soundtrack. If it flops it'll either be due to some phrasing or just the general way I approached using my tree metaphor, I just hope it's strong enough because it's basically the entire song.
I wouldn't say I used any cliche lyrics, but there is definitely some familiar imagery, just to offset the more abstract phrases and tie it all together to avoid it sounding like a bunch of nicely worded lines with no flow or purpose. It's definitely a story. There are definitely some lines I'm really proud of.
