These titles are not up for the taking, ever. I know all you stans desperate to claim the title for your faves but it ain't happening. She's earned that title over 30 years and nobody else will deserve it more.
Madonna is undoubtedly the Queen of Pop. Unless anyone tops her achievements and legacy, which I highly doubt will happen seeing as no pop star since Madonna's debut has accomplished half of what she has, Madonna will remain the Queen of Pop.

Magazines will call any artist the new King or Queen of pop on their covers. They do it all the time. Usually cause they cant think of any other eyecatching title. Im sure Carly was called the new Queen of pop on a few covers too last year(or whatever year it was she had a hit). Ahem.

She will always be the Queen of Pop. Wake us up when your fave does as much as she has in the lifetime. Wake us up when your fave has changed pop culture on multiple occasions over 30+ years. Wake us up when when your fave has had as much impact on an entire industry, on entire careers as much as Madonna has.
