There’s a funny moment in Top Five where Chris Rock visits his family and they’re having a debate about 2Pac. His family thinks that if he were alive he’d be in politics right now. And Chris Rock says maybe, but then again maybe he’d be doing Tyler Perry movies. Maybe he’d be running for office, but maybe he’d be the dark, dangerous boyfriend who pushes Jill Scott down a flight of stairs.

Anyway I felt proud of being the only white person in the theatre who knew who Jill Scott is and got the full joke.

I honestly and truly feel like he still has the skill set to completely obliterate a track. I mean he's considered the best technical rapper of all time. There aren't many people who can do the rhyme schemes and word bending that he does. I just think he's at a place in his life where he's content and doesn't really have anything to talk about. MMLP2 does have some commercial songs, but if you listen to songs like Legacy, Headlights, Bad Guy, and Beautiful Pain which have meaning you can see that none of today's generation can **** with the guy.

If Tupac was still alive, he'd probably just be some washed up 90's rapper who does interviews with a spoken word cadence and whines about hip-hop being dead.
