Yes, her career was totally walking on thread a month after she got a #1 album and a platinum single. Totally. Anyway, I know time affected that as well (SNL is broadcasted later than the average award show) so perhaps they can get away with more. It makes you wonder though: what would've happened if it was gay oral being demonstrated?

It's funny how the AMAs have had many provocative performances since but, indeed, one of the reasons ABC blacklisted Adam was because it's a "family" show.
