Her vocals are not that autotuned on Prism tho... On that fan made Prism Acoustic Session we can listen to it clearly. The only song that screams autotune that I remember from the top of my head is Ghost

GotSkill, I used to mostly listen to Indie music (in college it was all indie--indie rock, indie pop, indie hip-hop, folk, you name it), and even now, while I enjoy some pop again, I mostly listen to more rock-oriented material (or 90s R&B). Katy just does pop so well, though. When they're like "Oh, but those "ahs" in "Style" at the end are "EVERYTHING," I want to say "Yeah, and they're in every song on Prism, you just can't hear them."
Anyway, even though I'm not crazy on the production, "Chose Your Battles" is probably her best vocal, in my opinion. Sorry to get nasty, but it's like she's cooing in your ear, and it elicits a physical reaction every time. Like...I'm done...you're right. I won't fight. I won't PMS like a bitch. I'm yours. Thank god for incognito mode.

CYB grabs you like no other track Katy has ever done. I love the production though, but like you said earlier maybe an extra string section could've given it an even better climax.

Every so often when I listen to a Katy track, I was find a vocal or part of the production that I never noticed before.

That gif is always hysterical.
Poor Uncle and Birthday, though. They were perfect fall and spring singles, respectively. They deserved fair chances, but Dark Horse took no prisoners.
Let me not comment on THIWD. I have to keep it real cute in here anyway.

If she's not releasing next year then goodbye to her career. There's too much younger competition and she's already struggling with radio.

I mean, it's possible, but she has more than one festival lined up (contracts pending) around the world in addition to new dates. It's much harder to record a good sounding pop record in foreign countries during the day, and she's a night owl. Maybe she'll pull a Rihanna or Beyonce and record an album in a month, but she puts so much work into writing and rewriting and recording background vocals. Moreover, aside from recording all over California, she'll probably travel to Sweden for Max, go to New York to collaborate, and spend a lot of time with John in Virginia Beach making sure the mixes are to her satisfaction. I know she also wants to work with more fresh blood than usual. On top of that, I'm sure she wants to spend some time off with Wesley.
Q3/Q4 would be ideal, but it's still a stretch. Touring is where it's at for established artists, but it would be nice if she took a year to promote fully before going on a tour -- she could make just as much and as see just as many people playing stadiums as opposed to big venues, and it would take up a lot less of her time.

The artists that do an album in a month usual don't write their material though. Like Katy said, songs like CYB took her 5 months to write. I'd rather wait than get a rushed record. And I'd like an album with a few songs written solely by her. OOTB, Mannequin, and TOY are so promising and I'd love to see how she's grown and evolved since then.

pop radio is super ageist, just wait or look at Beyonce or the 2006 fads that released recently if you're impatient

I'm with you, brother. The re-release isn't a stretch. All she needs is another track or two, but I don't know when she's going to find the time to do it. All she has is January, when she'll be rehearsing for the Super Bowl, and the time to release would be February or March, but she'll be on tour. Unless that one last track is great, and she can go in and finish those demos with Bonnie or someone that can help her make them suck less, shoot a video, and put together a Superbowl routine in 20 days (with maybe 10 after the Super Bowl), I don't know how she could pull it off.
