I did say I don't understand the point in a solo investment when it's not going to be a blockbuster move for SM, when he could just have an f(x) comeback, but that also goes for Taemin too, since I'm pretty sure none of the other SHINee members were actually restricted when he was promoting.
The difference between Taemin/Amber and Zhoumi/Kyuhyun is we heard of Taemin and Amber a fair time before they actually came out, compared to the other two being rushed. Kyuhyun even said if it wasn't for Taemin having a successful solo his wouldn't have happened. It's obvious there was more substance behind Taemin's debut than the other two, and I'm sure it'll be the same with Amber, considering they're reporting it now. And I have no doubt that if it's well thought out and put together Amber can have a successful solo.
