UGH i have been wanting to post in this thread for so long but i was banned

I watched As Above, so Below the other day. I was completely SLAYED. You know a movie has made an impact on you when hours after it has ended, you are still searching on google for it, learning about the history behind it and stuff. Like, it was so great on so many levels. the mythology, the suspense, the claustrophobic feel, the tension, the jump scares, everything about it was perfect. Even the ending, which some might find a bit lackluster, DELIVERED. Because it kinda left you with a question. Are they back in the real world, safe? Did they end up in hell afterall? I have read an article about it on bloody disgusting and it was BRILLIANT. It explained everything, and made me like the movie more.

Now, on the other hand. I was reading through some threads on IMBD and someone suggested that the film Deliver Us From Evil was fat better. And i thought i would check it out.



There aren't enough to describe that film. Honestly, one of the worst movies i have seen in my entire life.
First of all, the acting was atrocious. And not to mention those damn accents


A priest just informs you that the possessed person is targeting you and your family and they are probably in danger. Literally a minute later, you wife calls you. Just ignore the call, she's probably fine





I literally screamed laughing when the priest turned his exorcism into a frickin BOP . Like, he started singing and **** while trying to rebuke the damn devil

And when there is a possessed person that you are going after, chose not to take the priest with you, which is probably the only person that can stop it, but go alone without even a gun. Kitchen knifes will do the job

I see a lot of praise for As Above as Below so Im gonna watch it But if it turns out into another disappointment like Oculus and The Babadook it will be hard to trust you again guys

As above so below actually has an interesting back story. Searching for info about the film later on, i have found out that a lot of things in the movie actually exist. When you're done with the movie, let me know and i ll send you the link to that bloody disgusting article that explains and connects everything.

Seriously, my mind was blown by that movie. It's not just your typical found footage paranormal ****. Just keep an open mind and im sure you'll really appreciate it.

Has anyone seen Sinister?

My best friend watched it the other night and said it scared the absolute **** out of her. Then I watched the trailer last night and I couldn't even watch it because I was like "yeah this actually almost looks too scary for my liking."

Is it worth watching? I'm fine with gore, but I'm also the most jumpy, strung out, fidgety person you'll ever meet, so I hate horror movies where sudden stuff happens. I jump/scream when someone at work sneezes or says "hey can you _____" and I'm not aware they're standing there.

Sinister is the perfect film for you then

Omg totally love as above so below!! I'm so happy to hve it on dvd now, it is for sure the horror film of the year! It was so different than the traditional horror film, in terms of story. Loved it! Deff reccomend

Been watching them again and the i don't know what they were thinking with the 3rd, it's still bad. It feels like a B movie compared to the rest.

As Above So Below PERFECT!! I never enjoyed a horror movie this much since i don't know when. I didn't have high expectations after seeing its IMDB score, why is it so low?

People who dislike it honestly don't understand it and how amazing the ending actually was.

Exactly. I literally spent hours after the movie was done on the net, reading about it and Dan brown's Inferno. I found an amazing analysis of everything on a bloody disgusting page. It made me like it even more. And i LOVED the ending and how its open to interpretation.

I've been obsessed lately. I'm only watching horror movies.

I honestly love cave based horror movies. The decent is one of my favorite movies of all time. A pinnacle in the horror genre.

As Above So Below.....was ****ing AMAZING!

I was SLAYED beyond belief! Its such a gripping movie....it kept me on the edge the whole time.

Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it yet!

Are the other two VHS films good? I watched the first one and I didn't really like it.

The 2nd was amazing imo. I loved every segment. The 3rd however is a confusing boring overlong mess.
