are you serious, sorry i dislike Craptina ALOT, but her "Stripped" album was VERY raw and creative and AMAZING lyrics, there are songs on there that really touch me, and I may not like her previous work or new work, that CD is brilliant! STRIPPED does not sound too planned, it sounds very emotional and raw. Stripped probably outdoes ANY Britney CD lyrically. Sorry, I LOVE my britney but i wont stand for people mocking Stripped! That album is true artistic.

OK.... after these 8 minutes i can say that it was not a waste of time, it is good, fresh, modern but at the same time, it is obvious that if all the new album is like this, she will be over. I'm seeing she is turning into a Goldfrapp style with this but I'm sure there will be fun tracks on the new album, i hope.

It was in The Spirit. lol. I liked that movie a lot. Very different.
(Scarlet Johannson was gorgeous, as was Eva Mendez. This song totally fits the movie's look and mood.)

I think this is really good. Just in general, not because it's Christina. This could be Imogen Heap for all I care.

The hate for it is pretty unjustified. It runs a little long, but it's really soothing and effective.

I feel like people hate just to hate. There's no use in posting if it going to be pure hate. Or at least posting multiple different times. It's silly.

I'm not going to listen to the song, at least now, because I don't feel like listening to an 8 minute song (unless it's like "American Pie" or something similar), but wasn't this just made for a movie soundtrack? A movie that completely bombed and got absolute **** reviews anyways, so why are people acting like she made this song in order to be hugely successful with it or something? I didn't even know what it was until I saw this thread, and that movie came out like a month ago.

Sometimes I wonder if people on this board's music taste goes past what the late 90s popstars are doing nowadays... (obviously not everyone, but I feel like it's all about the different pop girls on this board.)

I don't care if you say she looks like a clown or a tranny, she does wear way too much make-up.

I don't care if you say she sounds like a banshee, she does often over-do her voice when singing live.

I don't care if you thought Back To Basics was TERRIBLE... it wasn't for everyone.

Hell, I don't even care if you thought Keeps Getting Better was a complete trainwreck, the song was less-than-stellar and the video was a hot mess.


But knocking Stripped is where I draw the line. That is probably the best album I've ever purchased next to "Trouble" by Bonnie McKee (girl in my avatar). It was lyrically amazing, vocally stunning, and crafted very well. Every SINGLE song grew on me at some point. Stripped is the REASON I am a Christina fan.

i dont think this is for her new album. i just think its for the spirit movie. it works with the movie. i like it. but i do miss christina's power ballads. like i turn to you, beautiful & voice within i wish she'd do more of those songs.

I didn't realize I was that critic.

But to give my own opinion, I find the album rather not up to par. The only songs I absolutely adore are "Loving Me 4 Me", "The Voice Within", "Dirrty" (at times) and "Keep On Singin' My Song". Everything else is bland/boring.
