You didn't respond to the Hugo Chavez part of my post because you have no idea who he is nor do you have a sense of history or the world so you can't forge the connection. I agree that people should obey the law, but you went well beyond the topic of illegal immigration. You went on a rant about how people should be staying in their own countries and working to make their own countries better, but if your ancestors followed that advice, you wouldn't even be in this country.
More importantly, I brought Chavez into this because there are people trying to improve their own countries contrary to what you claimed. But like I said above, when they are working to improve their countries, they're vilified by the US for not cooperating with American interests and even want their leaders overthrown and trade embargos enacted. And when they do cooperate with the US, like Mexico's government does, interests of indigeneous, poor people take a backseat for American and elitist ones. This is why countries like El Salvador, Gautemala and Mexico give the most illegal immigrants.

Same response as above...
Chavez is completely relevant. The person I was responding to said people should stay in their own countries because they should "sacrifice" and work to make their own nations better... as if they're lazy and getting into another country illegally is such easy work.
Anyway... there are people who actually do try to improve their countries like Chavez. When they are, they're vilified by Americans and the US wants to their leaders overthrown and trade embargos enacted because they don't respond to US interests. When they do cooperate with the US, like Mexico and Guatemala's governments do, interests of indigeneous, poor people take a backseat for American and elitist ones. That's why these countries like Guatemala and El Salvador give the most illegal aliens.
