You should be in hiding, like that time Xtincta hid in the bathroom when she was fat and her ex-husband was ****ing someone who was actually thin and hot.
"Up to Beethoven's time musicians in general performed their work without the aid of an intellect for the most part; they worked by intuition. In everything outside their art they were like children. Beethoven was the first one have the indolence to think for himself--the first to have ideas on subjects unconnected with his art. He it was who established the dignity of the artist over that of the simply well-born. His entire life was a protest against the pretensions of birth over mind."
I find it interesting how Beethoven was the first to break away from patronage and only after him did music become so egotistical (in a good way) and personal (introspective is a better term but it wasn't always the case). It shaped the idea that we get to decide how to make music. Folk music became prominent, unconventional harmonies were explored and eventually minimalism was explored.. and our style of music was born. But now we break away from the ego and intellect that he gifted us and we start all over again with the machine.
