Beyonce has turned into quite the supporter of avant garde fashion of late, wearing Gareth Pugh to the European MTV awards in Liverpool at the end of last year, and hiring Thierry Mugler as creative director and costumer for her upcoming tour. Now she's found a new designer to lavish her sartorial attention on, in the shape of 25-year-old LA based designer Brian Lichtenberg. For her latest video Diva, in the mix with Pugh - the video is almost a pean to his work - Beyonce wears a Lichtenberg patchwork body suit and matching lace leggings, which he custom-made for her, but are seen in his s/s09 show. We love that Beyonce is embracing such edgy designers, and supporting lesser known names, quite the turnabout for the star, whose costumes used to be designed by her mother. If her video outfits are anything to go by we're fascinated to see what Thierry will do with her for her shows.
