Lady Antebellum throw some support towards Taylor
Quote:
Hillary Scott explains that it’s hard for artists to be categorized as just one thing.
“We would never want any artists to look at us and try and say what we can write or what we can record…as someone who loves to write and record music, that’s our art,” Scott says. “And I think it’s been a slow progression for her up until this point, expanding what she writes and how she records it.
“She has our support, I mean I think it’s amazing,” she adds. “Not to mention, she’s grown up in front of the world, and how much do your musical tastes change throughout the course of your life and growing up? So I’m very very excited for her record.”
|
Not surprised really. Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley are always gonna support her due to the history they share.

I don't think Taylor likes the idea of a Greatest Hits albm because she knows her fans already bought all her albums, but that's not the case of non-fans people who could be interested in having a CD full of her successful songs without having to buy 5 albums to get them.

Pfft, we all know she'll never top Fearless; the innocence, the magic, every song on the album is poetry.
The real AOTC.

RED will always be my fave album of hers. Each song was so sonically different but the album was still cohesive.

Kelly said the same thing before she released hers, but I think her label just persuaded her saying it had been a decade, it would close the first chapter of her career well, they'd put new songs on it, etc. Hopefully Taylor will eventually feel the same.

I hope her album to be a dual CD. The first disc are her country hits while the second are her pop hits. I also hope that the track listing will be from the first to last single.
Disc 1:
01 Tim McGraw
02 Teardrops on My Guitar
03 Our Song
04 Picture to Burn
05 Should've Said No
06 Crazier
07 Love Story
08 White Horse
09 You Belong With Me
10 Fifteen
11 Fearless
12 Today Was a Fairytale
13 Mine
14 Back to December
15 Mean
16 Sparks Fly
17 Ours
18 Safe & Sound
19 Begin Again
20 Red
Disc 2:
01 The Story of Us
02 Eyes Open
03 We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
04 I Knew You Were Trouble
05 22
06 Everything Has Changed
07 The Last Time
08 Sweeter Than Fiction
09 Shake It Off
10 Blank Space
11 Style*
12 Wildest Dream*
13 How You Get The Girl*
14 Greatest Hits' lead single
15 Greatest Hits' bonus track
Also, I hope she will NOT rerecord them. I want people see how her voice has progressed throughout the years and at the same time, it will show her age during those songs.

Darius Rucker praises Taylor on radio.com
snippets
Quote:
“I think it’s great for her,” Rucker tells Radio.com after Swift announced her first fully pop record 1989. “She was already in the pop world anyway. I’m happy for her. I think she’s an amazing person first of all. She’s a great musician and an incredible songwriter. One of the true great songwriters of this time. She writes great songs, great melodies, great hooks. Unforgettable words. More power to her.”
While Rucker didn’t have any advice to give Swift, he did suggest she enjoy every second of her pop transformation.
“Enjoy it, have fun, kill it,” he says. “Be the biggest thing in the world, you already are. Just go ahead and get a little bigger. I’m really happy for Taylor. You don’t sell the number of records you do without doing what she’s doing.”

Oh my God, I have the bridge of "This Love" stuck in my head, and it's killing me.
Your kiss, my cheek, I watched you leave
Your smile, my ghost, I fell to my knees
When you're young you just run
But you come back to what you need

I like the idea of two discs (one country-influence, one pure pop), but sis those amount of songs are too much to be fit in the record. I'd say about 10-12 songs per disc

To me, she can do no wrong. Seriously, she could punch an old lady in the face and I'd be like: "I'm sure that old lady is secretly an assassin and Taylor just saved all of us. You're welcome, America!"
