Not anyone thinking this is actually true
1) SONY was supposed to book her some promo but they didn't - they're all waiting for November to promote Run in the UK. They realized OTR was a bad idea when it was too late, but they couldn't cancel it and didn't want to push back the album AGAIN. They just released it and waited to see what'd happen. It debuted at #17 which is ok, it's flopping hard atm but they all knew about that for sure.
2) Basically, when they gave her the 5 mils record deal they surely researched her past as solo artist and saw that her previous album didn't do much anywhere outside UK. They STILL gave her this record deal so I guess they know what they're doing and this album flopping doesn't worry them much, since they didn't invest much in its promo.
So chill, I knoooow many of you would like to see Nicole without management and being desperate but as you see, she's always around. And you can't get rid of her
And remember, Sony earns money on her besides her music. Their management gets some %s on:
- her Cats deal
- Misguided
- Herbal Essences
- Proactiv
- Muller yoghurts
We could say "it's her fault her music is flopping cuz she didn't use her XF platform" to release albums but we really don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
Get ready for RUN to Rise like a Phoenix and smash the Irish/UK chart and help the album peak. Electric Blue will be saving the era worldwide next year.
