I quickly skimmed through 1989, it sounds so basic. So generic, so safe, so boring.

Yeah 1989 is like a safer, less varied version of PRISM with poorer vocals.

It's obvious that her main template for this pop transformation was Katy.

Because I got a feel for all the songs by skimming. And I listened to all the choruses, which is the most important aspect of a pop song.

Nothing truly stood out. There's no "I Knew You Were Trouble" on here....
