I love me some Gaga but in 2014 she ONLY had Applause? The first single from her latest album? That enough should have given her tons of noms (at very least for the VMAs).

It's like a sticker they can use from now on: "Grammy nominated artist". Just like how you see in movie trailers where there are actors who don't have any Oscars but they were nominated once. The last one I saw said "Starring Oscar nominated actress Jessica Chastain".

Yes if she attended and was interested in the VMAs this year, she would've gotten noms. Do u really think otherwise ? Seriously.

And for Grammys, let's not. Applause was 2.4M sales at the time

No one will nominate it unless it's something indie or ground breaking - which it wasn't. Y'all act as if Gaga was snubbed because she is fading, when she had only 1 song in the last 2 years and both songs were not something groundbreaking and smashing on the charts.

This happens every year tho. Artists are guaranteed to take a punt if it may give them a chance of a nomination.

Like, for the 2012(?) you had people like J Lo submitting 'Love?' for Album of the Year. Happens every year, nothing notable.

2 years as in Grammys 2015 - so my statement is still true, since she didn't win anything during the artpop era in any relevant award shows.
