Well in comparison to Dark Horse I think it would've stood a larger chance of getting nominated there. Both aren't shoo-ins for a nomination but the fact that Capitol had thought of submitting that tacky video in hopes for contention.
To be fair, DH had the views and won Female Video at the VMAs + the song was huge, so it looks pretty strategic to me.
When Katy Perry finally wins her Grammy, it will be on some Susan Lucci level type **** (Not beating Football in the ratings level though). She will get that standing O. The girls will be crying. Just not this year though because Beyonce is coming for wigs, bangs, and naval rings, and she will be walking away with all of them.
