1D is a bit of a threat because even though it's a different audience, they're still aiming for the same #1 as Nicki.

The audience is kinda irrelevant, so I don't really see why that was brought up in the first place. If they block her, they block her. I think last time they sold like 110K second week, but now it's on black friday and a lot of moms will probably buy the album for their daughters. It's definitely the biggest threat right now. I think Nicki will still make it though.

Also One Direction doesn't seem to have the same appeal they had last time. Their single is underperforming

My goodness. I turned on to the channel MTV2 where they are having a Nicki minaj takeover...and I can't listen because i have 13 days left on my sabbatical. Well, at least by the end I'll know there's 1 month left for the album

Capital FM are running regular EMA radio ads, they pretty much focus on Nicki and have the clip of her saying “'Cause there's one thing they can't do and that's be the mother****in' queen of hip-hop!". They also have the "make some noise for Nicki Minaj" from Iheart at the end of the ad.

Well, I checked the urban charts and didn't see him as a lead on anything and then I cackled at him technically having the #1 urban song with chris' new flame.
Still, the album sold 362k in total. I'm not sure if you think that poses a threat but i think the PinkPrint is safe from him

While she is the first female rapper to have 2 #1 albums. technically, Lauryn Hill and Foxy could claim that as Lauryn has the fugees and The firm album debuted at #1.

You don't even make sense. Rick Ross with 179K is competition, but 1D's 2nd week which will probably be 200-300K isn't.

Nicki will do 250-350K so no Rick Ross is not a threat. 1D is.

It bothers me when people want Nicki to never release when anyone else is going to release because they have this fear of her not being able to out do another artist. In reality, it reveals what you think of Nicki subconsciously compared to these other artists.

I'd rather her get a #1 album while there's competition & not when no one else is releasing.
