This album is more acclaimed than the score lets on. Two or three of the reviews were incredibly
positive but were underscored by 15-20 points. Prime examples are the Consequence of Sound and Billboard.

And 64 remains favorable so it's hardly low, can you not, just for like a day or something.

The higher meta critic mark is 83. Billboard and RS both gave it a 60. They're the biggest music magazines in the world. That shows something. I really don't want to be disrespectful or something, I just express my very own opinion. Secondly, having 20-30 celebrities and artists tweeting the iTunes link of C2C is promo. But that's off topic.

I see in your tracking of Lady Gaga's every move you've perhaps picked up something she said incorrectly. Check your receipt again.

I guess not At least it's winning a handful of grammys right? does it even have competition?

Only the deluded thought this album was some sort of GP-destroyer. You'd get along with them quite well come to think of it. Not that your comment made sense in the context of this metacritic score, but then again when you hate Lady Gaga why make sense when you can just fall over yourself dragging.

Nobody said it isn't promo. Why would Lady Gaga not promote her album? Why do you feel she shouldn't promote her album because it's jazz? Is it the same reason you feel because it's jazz it should have a high metacritic score? Do you think about Lady Gaga this much everyday?

You seem a bit pressed . I've never said that. I didn't say that Gaga should not have promoted the album, don't put words I didn't say. Calling, texting your "friends" and telling them to put the iTunes link on twitter is too for me. Inter scope did it,too, with its artists. Selena, Zedd etc.

Right 'cause Metacritic = GP.
Must be how the critically acclaimed Teenage Dream (55 score) won the GP with its 6+ million sales.
Shoo, troll.

Interscope got those accounts to tweet (except probably Cher who did it herself ), not Gaga on the phone to people like Britney Spears It's promo, but you're acting like she did something seedy to get her #1 by promoting; the opposite, she worked to get her #1. If you don't like it, guess that's your problem. My fav has another #1 album, I'm happy for her. I don't think you are and you're in here... so I guess that makes you pressed?

I'm here because of the metacritic , not the album sales or promotion. I'm not pressed just because I express my opinion. How Britney tweeted the iTunes link? Why every artist that wasn't an inter scope artist tweeted the iTunes link ? It's because Gaga or Gaga through her management called or texted (communicated)these artists like Britney and others, except for Cher, I agree (she was like the only one who didn't put the iTunes link). Also, when your "belief" is "I don't care about the charts", discounting the album two times in its first week of release and putting other artists to promote it too, it's a bit

People are latching onto this tweet thing because it's all they have considering there were only a couple of other major promo spots. The fact that people think tweeting is somehow big promo and desperate when it's actually kind of pointless considering a lot of those Twitter users are followed by the same people.
These stans live on the Internet so to them Internet promo = major promo when the majority of the world was not affected by this promo. The album sold on its own for the most part because people liked it. And they liked it enough to go #1.

Oh hun, you're so young and naive. The fact that you actually think Gaga text messaged these people and asked them to tweet the link. Gaga is a UMG artist with a 360 deal. Every major record label has a piece of her, meaning her promo team can reach out to the Twitter accounts of major artists to have them promote the album. Most, if not all of the links were posted by the label as opposed to the artists themselves because that's simply how it works.
And it's clear you have absolutely no grasp on the current state of the music business. The album remained at full price on iTunes, which is the main place people buy music, and every physical copy was also sold at full price. I don't see you in Barbra's thread and acting like it was a big deal that her album was discounted for its entire first week.

"Texting" is one of the verbs that I used. You can see "communicate" in the ( ). If I knew that my management team or my label would promote me through other artists' twitter accounts, by putting the iTunes link of my album, I would immediately refuse. Gaga didn't do that. That was her choice.

Well you're right for once, Gaga did choose to promote an album she is proud of. The horror.

The fact that you know which tweets had the iTunes link and which didn't... Britney and the other stars had the tweets sent from their accounts by management (once again, Cher for sure lets nobody touch ha tweets ) which is social media promo. Why is that such a big deal for you? Interscope sell the album, Gaga doesn't flick the discount switch. Gaga cares about her success, yeah you got her on that one. But I think you might care about her success just a little bit more. Anyway, this is going nowhere, 64 is decent though the same people from the same stanbases will get bothered no matter what so meh
