Gaga will forever remain dated when it comes to her sound, but that doesn't mean she can't do good. In fact, it seems the older the genre she goes for, the better she is.

Those records didn't sound dated when they came out. There were elements of 70's/80's eurodance but overall it felt very futuristic. A straight classic-rock album would be pretty lame imo. I don't think she's going to do that though, I'm more talking about the fans who want her to.

I hope she does an electronic ballad album next, I love those songs from her. Gypsy, The Edge Of Glory, Hair, Brooklyn Nights are highlights from her discography and she could accentuate on that. Not to mention those songs have really relatable lyrics and would sound amazing on radio.
Or if she doesn't do that, maybe something with the sound of DWUW along the lines of R&B.

Seriously though, we ain't getting electronic anything on the next album. It'll be an alternative rock/ballad album.

Are these really electronic ballads? They're more mid-tempos no?

Her ballads are the worst (Again Again, Brown Eyes, just ahhhh). Her uptempos are either really good (Poker Face, basically her old material lol) or really bad (Donatella, Aura, just simply unlistenable lol). She is best with midtempos (Paparazzi, SHICD, DWUW, Paper Gangsta, etc.)

Oh god, please no. I'd rather have an album filled with Donatella's & Swines in that case.

You'd rather have an album of Donatellas over an album of Wonderful, Captivated, Rock Show, Let Love Down, Honest Eyes, etc? Interesting.

That's the old Gaga. The current Gaga screams and shouts over her ballads & sings about things that are not relatable. I'd rather have a good beat (something NOT produced by DJWS) instead of a lame ballad.

Hoping for an album filled with global-sounding R&B music a la DWUW minus the screams in the first verse and a verse by a forgotten 90's artist.

We'd be lucky to receive that. If she had any sense she'd have DJ Snake executive produce her next urban record but she'd probably draft in Pharrell now that everyone's done with his hype. Instead people like Rih are rumoured to be working with DJ Snake because, like, she knows what a hit is.

So here for this !!! But she should also include at least 3 uptempo songs (something like Eh Eh, Summerboy or MANiCURE would totally fit in that kind or record).

If Gaga does rock it needs to be in the vein of Electric Chapel. Her vocals were so chilled

Came to say she's probably going to do a rock inspired or blues-y type album next considering the covers she's been doing on tour and it seems like you guys are already on the topic.

Why would anyone want Gaga to do rock? She's already been screaming and shouting at us in her songs since 2011. Enough is enough already. Have RedOne steal some midtempo europop song, make it the lead and she'll be somewhat successful again.
